BOOHOO RUFFLE SLEEVE SHIFT DRESS / MARC FISHER ‘ADALYN’ ESPADRILLE WEDGE SANDAL

I wore this adorable pink Boohoo ruffle sleeve shift dress to my sister’s bridal shower over the weekend.  Her colors are pink and gold so I wanted to find a dress that matched the theme, and this dress was perfect.  I knew that I’d be running around setting up and making sure everyone was taken care of so I was trying to find a dress that looked cute but was also easy to move around in.   I’ve been obsessed with all things ruffle these days, so when I saw this dress I was immediately in love.  These oversized ruffle sleeves on the dress are amazing.  I love this dress because it’s super versatile.  You can dress it up for a cute date night look with heels and a clutch, or do like I did and keep it semi casual by pairing the dress with my favorite Marc Fisher espadrille wedges.

If you’re thinking about purchasing this dress, it fits true to size.  Although if you have a larger butt or hips I’d order a size up so it fits like a true shift dress and it doesn’t sit too tight on your hips.  Another perk of this dress is the cut of the sleeves.  Unlike most dresses the arm slit is wider and doesn’t hug tight on your arms.  These wide arm slits are perfect for Summer and keep you cool and sweat free.

Bridal Shower

Bridal Shower

Over the weekend I threw a bridal shower for my little sister!

One of the sweet ladies in our ward who was also Cassidy’s leader growing up, opened up her beautiful home and helped me throw the shower.  I spent a couple of weeks on Pintrest searching for cute ideas.  I ended up going with a taco bar since Cassidy loves her some tacos! I also did an adorable DIY lemonade bar and forgot to get a picture of the condiment station I also put out later with fresh fruit. One of our favorite things is also popcorn, so a popcorn bar as the party favor was a must have. I quickly snapped a few pictures before people came and sadly didn’t take any pictures of the dessert bar since I was too busy running around.

I snapped and instagram storied a few pictures from the shower and got a ton of comments and questions about the frames and the signs.  I actually designed all of the signs myself and just purchased gold frames to make them look nice.  If you’re throwing a bridal shower or party, I’ve also linked some of the items that I purchased incase you were wondering where you could find them.  Bridal Shower Lemonade Bar

Happy hump day everyone! I’m celebrating that it’s almost the weekend with this cool and casual look.  This off the shoulder front bow blouse is to die for.  I’ve seen so many similar blouses and was so excited when SheIn sent me this one.  This off the shoulder front bow blouse comes in four other colors and I want all of them.  Sadly I’m terrible at tying the perfect bow.  If you’re bow challenged like myself, don’t worry.  With or without the bow tied properly, it still looks adorable.  Besides the adorably large bow, I love the volume of the sleeves.  Lately I’ve been buying tons of ruffle sleeve blouses so this was right up my alley.

This blouse is light weight and perfect for Summer.  You can pair this blouse like I did with skinny jeans for a day at work and then going out to dinner after.   I’ve also paired this adorable blouse with a jean mini skirt for a day walking the boardwalk.  You could easily mix things up with this casual blouse by pairing it with a midi pencil skirt and heels for the perfect dressed up date night look.

Another floral maxi dress! Are you guys sick of all of these floral dresses that I’ve been posting lately? Well hopefully not, because I’m loving them all.  This floral print v neck split side long sleeve dress from Romwe is a new favorite of mine. I love the large floral print and especially love the color combination.  Even though this dress has long sleeves it’s still perfect for Summer.  The material is so light weight that it doesn’t feel hot or heavy after wearing it in the sun.  You can also unbutton the sleeves and roll them up if you do get too warm.

This dress was perfect for the cooler evening dinner that I had to attend. I paired this dress with double strap slip on sandals and my favorite tonal stripe black clutch to complete the look.  On the website the dress hits the model at her ankles.  Again I’m only 5’4″ so this dress hits me at the floor even when I’m wearing a heeled sandal for those who might want a better reference.

Happy Sunday everyone! Yesterday we had our ward dodgeball game and let me just say that it hurts to type right now.  I went to the dodgeball game with the intent to cheer on my ward.  The next thing I know I end up playing for an hour.  As soon as I got home, my arm was sore from throwing and all night it was in pain. Let’s just say the next ward dodgeball game I will be sitting on the sideline.

As I attempted to get ready this morning with one sore arm I quickly threw on this outfit and called it a day.  The Victoria Beckham for Target collection has been out for sometime but I’m just now getting my hands on a few of the pieces.  When the collection first released on a Sunday, I of course missed out since I didn’t go look until that Monday when everything was sold out.  The Target near me recently restocked and I was able to grab a couple of the adorable dresses and this top.  This black satin photo floral top is adorable and I love how it looked with this pastel purple pencil skirt. I’ve also worn this top with high waisted skinny jeans for a more casual look and it was just as cute. I’ll be blogging the rest of the Victoria Beckham for Target pieces that I bought over the next couple of weeks!

Another adorable floral maxi dress for today’s look! This shirt waist tassel tie button up botanical dress from Shein is amazing.  I love the print and especially love how comfortable this dress is.  The picture on their website shows the dress hitting the model at the ankle. I’m 5’4 so this maxi dress almost hits the floor on me.  Personally I love the length of this dress and love that it’s a little longer on me.  If you have wider shoulders like myself I’d order a size up to ensure it fits comfortable.  I ordered a size up and the shoulders fit perfectly.  It was a bit loose in the waist, but when I wear maxi dresses I like them to be loose so I’m comfortable so it didn’t bother me at all.

I wore this dress to work today and it was the perfect casual work look.  I would totally wear this dress with sandals for a day at the beach.  Because the material is so thin, this would even work for the perfect dressed up bikini cover up.

Now that it’s officially Summer I’ve been living in Maxi dresses.  When it’s so hot, throwing on a light weight maxi dress is my go to outfit.  This Calico print plunge neck button front maxi dress from Shein is my new favorite! I love the print and it even comes in a variety of other prints.  I love the longer sleeves which was perfect this weekend since it finally cooled down a bit in the mornings.  The buttons down the front hit mid thigh which allows the bottom to be flowy.   When the wind hits it, it flares out perfectly and I absolutely love a good flared maxi dress.

I know some people get a little skeptical ordering dresses online especially when they are so affordable.  This dress fits true to size and yes, it’s really only $30! I’ve already gone back and placed an order for this same dress in the other prints because it’s so comfortable. These maxi dresses are perfect because you can pair them with sandals for a casual weekend look or dress them up with heels.

Work has been a bit crazy so I’ve been so behind on blogging!  Finally getting a new outfit post featuring the outfit I wore to church this past Sunday. I’ve been getting so many messages asking where my Sunday Best posts have been, so I apologize for the delay. I’m trying to get back in the habit of blogging my church outfits even if it takes me a day or so to get them up.

I am obsessed with this Zara pastel pink ruffle sleeve blouse! I walked past Zara the other day and saw this blouse hanging in the window and I ran in and bought it in three colors. I love the fit and especially love the large ruffle texture.  I paired this blouse with a black midi pencil skirt for Sunday’s church outfit.  I’ve also paired this blouse with jeans and heels for a fun date night look.  The reason I bought this blouse in three colors is because it’s so versatile and perfect for any season.  I’ve also linked some similar ruffle sleeve blouses above.

How cute is this MakeMeChic Floral Cocktail Dress! I’ve teamed up with them for the next couple of posts and I’m so excited.  All of the items from MakeMeChic can be purchased off of Amazon.  Hello prime shipping! I love shopping online and I especially love when you can get prime shipping. There’s nothing worse than finding the cutest clothes but then have to wait two weeks for them to arrive.

Back to this adorable floral cocktail dress. This is another perfect Spring or Summer dress.  Just like my last post, this dress has a wide off the shoulder band which I’m loving.  This dress is more form-fitting than the last one but it’s still effortless and chic. You could easily wear this to a wedding, baby shower, or even just a date night out. My closet is color coded, so when I went to hang this dress in my closet I quickly realized I barely have anything blue. I had maybe one other pastel blue dress but that was it.  I love this dusty blue color so much that I’ve been looking for other dresses in this similar color.  Besides the gorgeous blue color, you all know I’m a sucker for anything floral print so this was of course a must have dress.
