I haven’t done a quick go to work outfit in a while so I decided to do one today. Today’s simple work outfit is casual and comfortable but perfect for the office. This outfit is also perfect for working all day and then going out after. These green joggers and ribbed tank are on the super casual side. One way to dress up joggers is to pair them with heels. This wrap jacket also is a perfect staple item to have in your closet. A good wrap jacket or duster jacket can dress up casual joggers or throw over a dress.
This work bag is also one of my favorites! It’s from Zara of all places and sadly can’t be found online but I’ve linked similar ones. A good black tote or work bag is a must! I typically stay with black because it can pair with any color or look. I love oversized bags and totes because you can throw your laptop in them as well as any other work items you need.
Happy Sunday Everyone! Thankful for another beautiful day that I got to go to church. For today’s church outfit I went with this adorable short sleeve floral dress. I was at Target the other day picking up Easter decorations when I walked past this dress. Target actually has a very large selection of modest dresses and skirts. I’ve found a ton of modest dresses there and I always come across hidden gems like this one. I love the cut of this dress and especially love the flowy flutter sleeves. I wear a size small but some size small dresses are tight on my arms since I have wide shoulders and some what muscular arms. I love flutter sleeves because they are loose fitting and allow me to wear my true size instead of having to go up a size just for the larger sleeves. I found a ton of other options in store as well that I couldn’t find online, so check your local stores for more goodies. I paired this dress with my favorite Jeffrey Campbell ankle strap sandals and my new go to Gucci bag.
You guys I have found three items that worked so well for my oily skin that I had to do a post. All three of the above items are oily skin must try beauty products. I purchased all three so these were not gifted and I was not paid to write this review.
The first is the Urban Decay De Slick Makeup Setting Spray. I’ve honestly had this product sitting in my drawer for so long that they’ve changed the product design. Honestly I had been using the Urban Decay all night setting spray and liked it so I never gave this one a try. After using this product for the past month, I am strictly using this product from now on. This is amazing for oily skin! I read a bunch of mixed reviews, but when I use the Hello Fab primer paired with this spray, my makeup not only lasted all day but I didn’t have to blot throughout the day. I purposely tried to go all day not doing any touch ups and I went around nine hours before there was a noticeable shine to my T zone. This is amazing considering I’m usually using my blotting strips every couple of hours.
The Hello Fab Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer is another game changer for me. I have typically stayed away from primers and if I do use one, then I use my Tarte primers. I saw this product at Sephora and blindly tried it. This was the best blind try I’ve ever had! This primer truly helps my makeup stay on all day and doesn’t streak or make my foundation look cakey at all.
The last product I’ve loved is this Pixi Glow Tonic! This is actually my second bottle after I used my first one up so quickly. This tonic is an exfoliating toner, which helps to firm skin. It basically removes dead cells, excess oil and left over makeup that’s stuck in your pores. I’ve seen so many girls use this product that I decided to give it a try. I’ve noticed such a difference over a month and absolutely love this product.
Black Embroidery Lace Up VNeck Dress: c/o Romwe / Black Booties: Topshop
Hi Guys, I’m still alive! I’ve been sick for the past three weeks and struggling to make it through work let alone find time and energy to blog. I’m back and almost kicked this cold for good! Also we’ve been having non stop rain in LA, so it finally cleared up and was nice enough to take some outfit pictures.
For today’s casual Friday outfit I went with this adorable black embroidery lace up vneck dress. I’ll be honest in the image on the website I thought this dress was going to be much longer. It’s a bit on the short side for me with this cold weather, but I think this would make the perfect Summer dress. This dress would work as the perfect cover up to wear over a bikini for a day of walking the board walk. Since I wanted to get this post up sooner rather than later, I wore it today and paired it with simple leather booties. I love the embroidered details on the dress and especially love the pops of color. I wanted the dress to be a little of the flowy side so I ordered a medium, which ended up being the perfect fit for what I wanted.
I’m so excited to share with you guys this amazing new product called Juvalips! In the first picture with the box, these are my natural lips. I actually love my natural lips but was excited to try Juvalips! Nowadays everyone wants fuller lips and this is the perfect solution. I’ve seen other products but to be honest they look a little scary and I have seen the horror pictures.
Juvalips takes all the thinking out of the process and is a safe way to get plumper lips. Juvalips goes for 60 seconds at a time. They recommend not using it for more than 2 or 3 of the 60 second timed treatments. All you do is wet your lips or moisturize them. For my first treatment all I did was just apply chapstick before starting. You place the device over your lips and create a seal then press the power button. The device will go for 60 seconds and then shut off once it’s done. When you try it for the first time make sure your lips are relax and allow the device to pull your lips.
After the first 60 seconds I noticed my bottom lips was much fuller but didn’t notice much difference on my top lip so I did a second round and adjusted the device to focus more on my upper lip. After the second treatment my top lip was noticeably fuller. The device did leave a small circle around my lips but after a minute it went away. I would suggest doing this treatment before you apply your foundation. This will prevent your foundation from getting all over the mouth piece and you won’t have to worry about smudging your foundation.
The weather is finally clearing up and it’s been amazing the last couple of days! We’ve had cool mornings but by the afternoon it’s been warming up to the high 70’s so I’m in heaven again. I found this adorable floral drop waist dress and paired it with a grey over coat to keep warm in the mornings. This drop waist dress is so comfortable and versatile. You can easily wear this dress with sandals or pair it with low top sneakers for a more casual look. This over coat is another staple item. I wear this poor coat every where! I love pairing it over a dress to keep warm but it also pairs amazing over jeans and tee to dress up a casual look.
With Valentine’s Day right around the corner I wanted to hurry and post another Valentine’s Day Outfit. You guys only have 10 days left so if you’re buying a dress online you better do it this weekend so it arrives in time and you can ensure it fits just right.
I personally like to stay away from Red on the big day since there are so many others wearing the color. Sometime’s I’ll go pink if I’m in the mood to be super festive, but the majority of the time I like going with an off the wall color. Last year I wore a deep purple dress that totally stood out from the sea of red and pink dresses when we went out to dinner. This year I’m totally loving this peacock velvet wrap dress! The color is amazing on its own and I love the wrap knot in the front. I also love the plunging vneck of the dress for just the right touch of sexiness. Because the color is so stunning, I kept everything else with the outfit super simple. I added taupe wraparound ankle pumps and these stunning cluster earrings.
See my other Valentine’s Day outfit guide I posted seen here:
Over Christmas I went a little crazy on Missguided’s website and I’m finally getting around to wearing all of the amazing pieces. Sadly since it took me so long to blog, the items are sold out but thankfully I’ve found some amazing dupes at much cheaper prices.
The weather is actually warming up in LA lately so I finally decided to wear this adorable marble white t shirt dress. I paired this over sized dress with this adorable pink teddy bomber jacket. I actually found a very similar pink teddy bomber jacket on Forever 21’s website for almost 1/3 of the cost of Missguided so it’s a total steal! Also this killer grey bucket bag is from Zara’s huge sale but I’ve also found a couple similar ones that are just as cute that are linked above.
I am obsessed with the L’Oréal Paris Hair Expert Extraordinary Clay Collection! I received these items from Influenster to try out, and I cannot say enough good things about them. I was very skeptical about the clay mask because I’ve tried a ton in the past and never really saw a difference. The clay mask said that it deeply absorbs oil at the roots, purifies the scalp and leaves your hair fresh and lightweight. You apply this mask to dry hair before you get into the shower and as soon as I applied the mask I could see it absorbing the oil. I was not only shocked but very happy! The only turn off of this mask is the smell, but despite the smell it works so good it’s worth over looking.
The shampoo and conditioner are also amazing! My hair is naturally long and also on the oily side. The shampoo and conditioner is perfect for my hair type because it’s made for oily roots and dry ends. This system purifies oily roots and hydrates dry lengths without weighing your hair down. I’ve used this clay system for almost 3 weeks now and I’ve seriously noticed such a big difference with my hair. My hair is less oily at the roots and my ends are never dry and frizzy. I would highly suggest this clay system for anyone who has oily roots and dry ends.
Happy Sunday Everyone! I hope you guys had a great and relaxing day. For today’s church outfit I kept things simple. I went with this adorable navy blue sheer long sleeve bodycon dress that I got from H&M. Sadly the dress is sold out but I’ve found some similar dresses that are just as cute. I love this particular dress because of the layers and different textures. A lot of long sleeve dresses have sleeves that are too tight for my arms but if I go up a size to fit my arms then they are too big everywhere else. Thankfully this dress has sheer sleeves which allows some stretch. I also bought this exact same dress in black because I loved the fit so much. I paired this navy dress with nude pumps and my go to bag.
