I get tons of comments and emails asking me questions about my makeup. I am no makeup pro or anything close to that but I have tons of friends who are beauty gurus or professional makeup artists so I’ve picked up a thing or two from them over the years. Someone asked me if I could share my favorite foundation brushes which led me to writing this post. I typically use my MAC brushes but for the last few months I finally learned how to properly use a beauty blender and I have to say that it is beyond game changing!

This beauty blender pro makes your foundation go on even and look flawless. When you first get the blender it looks tiny, but once you soak it and ring it out, it grows so much in size. I also love this blender because it’s saving me a ton of product. With my brushes I was using almost double the amount I use with my blender. So although it may seem like a lot of money for a sponge, trust me it’s completely worth every penny!  I also love the smaller blenders which I personally use for under my eyes when applying my concealer, but you can totally use the smaller blenders for contouring and highlighting as well.

If you get these blenders this beauty blender cleanser in soap form is a must! This is honestly the best cleanser I own. My dark foundation stained my blenders and I was a bit upset, until I used this cleanser and it literally took out almost all the stains. This cleanser isn’t just for blenders, it works amazing on brushes as well.

Benefit Cosmetics Speed BrowAnastasia Beverly Hills Brush #12Anastasia Beverly Hills Mini Duo Angled/Spooley 7Amazonian clay waterproof brow mousse

Everyone has been asking me what I use to do my brows so here are my brow essentials! I use either one of my two Anastasia Beverly Hills angled brushes with the Tarte Amazonian clay waterproof brow mousse in medium brown. I use the mousse in little brush strokes and then run the spoolie on the other end of the brush to make sure it looks more natural and less painted on. I finish with benefit speed brow to set my brows and it also helps keep all the hairs in place so it will last the entire day.

RIMMEL LONDON Lash Accelerator Mascara

RIMMEL LONDON Lash Accelerator Mascara

My current beauty obsession is Rimmel London lash accelerator mascara! This is not a sponsored post but rather an item I decided just to try when I saw it on the shelves in Ulta and wanted to see if it really worked. I usually have eyelash extensions but I had them on for so long that I decided to let my lashes rest and when I got them off all of my natural lashes were practically gone or so thin. I have been using this product for a month and absolutely love it!

You just apply this as your everyday mascara but it has a natural grow lash complex to help grow and make your lashes stronger with each use. I didn’t notice a big difference in the first couple weeks but after a month my natural lashes have grown a ton and are getting much longer.  The other bonus about this product is that it’s super affordable! I was looking into other grow lash products that are all super expensive and have had mixed reviews. Rather than splurging on a product that may not work I opted for an affordable product and it ended up working out perfect!

KOKO Lashes

Koko Lashes

Last Saturday I posted my lip gloss drawer and got so many request to show the rest of my makeup collection. Sadly my drawers are so disorganized so I’ve been slowly working on them so I can share it with you guys. Today I decided to share my new favorite lashes which are these KOKO Lashes that I got from Lady Moss. This is not a sponsored post, but just my honest opinion that I love these gorgeous lashes. I saw a beauty vlogger use these “Soho” lashes from KOKO and I had to try them.

Lover.ly Bridal Makeup Guide

Ball Gown Wedding Dress NZ

For all your brides who are trying to put together your perfect wedding I’ve got a helpful tool for you ladies! I’m excited to be teaming up with Lover.ly to share with you guys this amazing site and how it can make planning a wedding fun rather than stressful. Lover.ly was launched “by a one-time maid of honor and her team of former bridesmaids and groomsmen determined to simplify the wedding planning process.  Lover.ly is your one-stop-shop for wedding planning where brides and grooms find ideas, people to hire and things to buy.”

Despite the fact that I’m single this website is still so fun to go through and find inspirations for weddings, and I’ll admit I spent hours going through pictures and planning my dream wedding. My best friend actually just got engaged so I can’t wait to sit down with her and go through this website with her.

Okay so back to this fun collaboration! Lover.ly sent me three gorgeous, to die for wedding gowns and I was asked to select my favorite and do a fun bridal makeup guide on how I would do my makeup to pair with the dress. You can see all the amazing gowns and even shop their selection under the dress tab. I picked the above mermaid gown which is beyond stunning and totally a dress I would wear. I picked this dress because I absolutely love the dual texture of the dress and you all know I’m a sucker for anything tulle and this tulle mermaid train is gorgeous. The dress would make any woman feel like a princess on her wedding day and since it’s so gorgeous and chic I would go for an equally simple, yet stunning nude and pink look. Below is every item I would use to get my perfect bridal look. For bridal makeup it’s important that it lasts all day and for my skin type, MAC products last the longest so I’ve used a lot of MAC products.

All the items are in pretty self-explanatory but from the Naked Palette I love Naked as the lid color and Half Baked as a crease and if you want to do a smokey eye Creep is perfect for the outer corner. Also the Bobbi Brown Blush in Nectar and the Bobbi brown bronzing powder in golden light works best for my skin tone.

Matte Lipstick

Tia Wong

After my last makeup monday post I got a ton of requests asking for more makeup posts linking items I love. This week I decided to share my favorite matte lipstick. My makeup artist Gina introduced me to Lip Crime which has the most amazing matte lip colors! It comes in a tube and applies supper liquid and shiny but dries quick and once it dries it’s on for the entire day. This lipstick can last the entire day with maybe a little touch up after eating. I also have fallen in love with MAC New Romance mineralize blush. It’s super pigmented so you don’t need to use a lot, a little goes a long way with this blush.

Red Matte Lipstick: Lip Crime (Red Velvet)
Mineralize Blush: MAC (New Romance)

Dark Lips

One of my favorite things about Fall is wearing dark lips! Here is my favorite dark lip look for Fall and Winter which is MAC lipliner in Nightmoth paired with Diva lipstick. Shop these items below.

Lipstick: MAC in Diva
Lip liner: MAC in nightmoth, MAC in Burgundy
Other Burgundy lipsticks I love: Dior (Black Tie),  Giorgio Armani (Rouge Ecstasy), Tom Ford (Plum)

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

Anastasia Contour Kit

I strayed away from my Makeup Monday posts but decided since I haven’t done one in a while it was time to finally start it up again. Lately on my pictures I’ve had a bunch of people ask me if I’ve had a nose job. At first I was kind of offended but then I released that meant I had finally got my contouring slightly down. I picked up this Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit and have been playing with it all month and am a fan for the most part.

This contour palette has six shades: Java, Vanilla, Fawn, Havana, Banana, Sand which work well with my medium skin. I think this palette would be perfect for anyone with fair to medium toned skin but probably won’t do much for darker skin tones. The three darker shades are good for contouring and I normally mix all three to get my perfect shade. I will say that at first I wasn’t happy with the highlighters and felt like they didn’t show up as well on my skin but after a while and playing with it I’ve come to love it when I mix them and pair it on top of my mac highlighters.
